Celebrities and fashion icons stepped out in style for this year's Costume Institute Gala that celebrates the opening of the "Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations" exhibition. Among those turning heads on the red carpet was pop star Rihanna.
The “Talk that talk” singer pulled the evening's trump card as she was one of the last ladies on the red carpet. Rihanna chose to cover up her curves in a stretchy black Tom Ford gown. She completed her look with a pair of Christian Louboutin “Pigalle” pumps and a hairstyle that consisted of multiple buns.
This year’s Costume Institute Gala Benefit is co-chaired by US Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, British actress Carey Mulligan, and designer Miuccia Prada.
On the Met Gala red carpet, Rihanna looked stunning in a Tom Ford crocodile applique gown from the Fall Winter 2012 collection.
The floor length crocodile Tom Ford gown has a back slit and deep back V which showed off her constellation tattoo that travels from her neck to her back.
After a night of partying following at the Met Gala, Rihanna was rushed to an NYC hospital. The "Where Have You Been" singer then posted a photo of an IV drip attached to her arm on her Twitter account during her hospital visit.
She was reportedly released after a short stay and cleared to fly home to Los Angeles Wednesday afternoon.
The chart-topper has been feeling under the weather for several days. Although she was the musical guest on Saturday Night Live last weekend, she had to skip the Friday dress rehearsal for the show due to fatigue and illness.
